Chief, Refugee & Global Language Specialist

Carl Holtman is an international education leader with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of language, access, and belonging. He has led IELTS operations in Türkiye, developed refugee-centered programs in Ohio, and advised nonprofits and ministries on equitable English language learning.

Carl is co-founder of Be the Voice of Girls, a storytelling-based language initiative for adolescent girls in post-crisis settings, recognized by the U.S. State Department and Rotary International. He also leads strategy at Our Helpers, a Central Ohio nonprofit serving immigrant and refugee families through education and workforce programs.
